@stonecoldbigmike The best thing to do is go to the nvidia channel and ask them why they discontinued it. Also check on the different manufacturers BFG, EVGA etc websites and contact them, better yet ask compusatv.
Has for Ebay I guess you cant really trust anyone even with 100% feedback, its about taking the leap, buying and testing the products yourself :)

  3. stonecoldbigmike says:

    Da fuck 9800 GX2 FTW

  8. megacomrade says:

@KillingTechno the GTX 260 is more powerful than the 5770! and touches the 5830 when overclocked!

  9. megacomrade says:

@chevelletrixter72 the 5850 is as fast as the GTX 470! so all games at 1920*1200 with 16xq AA should run about fine but not sure if they will run ok in DX11 mode!

  10. stonecoldbigmike says:

Y HAVE THEY COMPLETELY DISCONTINUE THE GTX 280????? I CANT FIND IT ANYWHERE ITS ONE OF THESE ITEMS THAT WENT POOF NO MORE LOL….

  11. Battleaxegunner says:

    Lol..1:16, spec info failure.

  12. tndrckr says:

@terry8998 do u still have ur 2780 cause if u arent using it il buy it

  13. thereddog223 says:

Try it on max settings and getting 60 fps.

  14. chevelletrixter72 says:

you could get a 5850 and overclock it, but not by too much or else like you said the cooling wouldnt handle it, its not worth buying extra cooling when you could just buy a 5870 in the first place but a 5850 should fit all of your needs. Yes it is better than a 4890

  15. hallal55 says:

    5850 is better than a 4890 correct?

now with the 5850 can i just over clock it with the software or should i get better cooling support?

  16. chevelletrixter72 says:

5850 is a little better than the GTX285. 4890 is as good as a gtx 275, and a 4890 could handle a 32 inch monitor.. so a 5850 would be just fine, overclock it to perform like a 5870, and you’ve got DX11 so it’s future proof so a 5850 would be the better choice. plus it’s cheaper than a 285

  17. hallal55 says:

hey bro the card you reccomended was either a 5850 or 5870 over the gtx 285 right?

im probably gonna pick 5850 or 285 since thier cheap on ebay….

but i also saw you said 4890 im assuming 5850 beats the 4890?

and you said 5850 should run on a 32inch fine?

  18. KillingTechno says:

why you gouys fighitng for the game-cards? i have the XFX HD5750 1GB DDR5 and i can play all the games on Very High settings without havinf any problem… so who cares about GTX260 :p

  19. rayright15 says:

@HazakyProductions how so? check out the gtx 260 core 216 video done nicely by albert. 260 c216 beats it in almost every game. And i also checked the review on hardware canucks myself. What do you have to back up “apparently your wrong”?

  20. HazakyProductions says:

    @rayright15 Apperantly ur wrong.

  21. rayright15 says:

@HazakyProductions gtx 260 c-216 can beat out the 4870… let alone the gtx 275.

  22. flipicaneze says:

Usually a power supply that has no pcie does not have enough power to run this card. But if you do have a big enough power supply without the pcie lines, then I would suggest using separate molex power lines, in other words: don’t run both power connectors off the same molex line.

  23. YetiMaken says:

dose any one else noticed that it says 280 &280 on the popo up lol

  24. HazakyProductions says:

@whatsuuuuuup Ow, but ok. Thanks for correcting :]

  25. whatsuuuuuup says:

    @HazakyProductions gtx275 isnt a dual gpu card
