Usually a power supply that has no pcie does not have enough power to run this card. But if you do have a big enough power supply without the pcie lines, then I would suggest using separate molex power lines, in other words: don't run both power connectors off the same molex line.

@HazakyProductions how so? check out the gtx 260 core 216 video done nicely by albert. 260 c216 beats it in almost every game. And i also checked the review on hardware canucks myself. What do you have to back up "apparently your wrong"?

hey bro the card you reccomended was either a 5850 or 5870 over the gtx 285 right?

im probably gonna pick 5850 or 285 since thier cheap on ebay....

but i also saw you said 4890 im assuming 5850 beats the 4890?

and you said 5850 should run on a 32inch fine?

5850 is a little better than the GTX285. 4890 is as good as a gtx 275, and a 4890 could handle a 32 inch monitor.. so a 5850 would be just fine, overclock it to perform like a 5870, and you've got DX11 so it's future proof so a 5850 would be the better choice. plus it's cheaper than a 285
